Your Council

Cllr Gavin Tooke

I have lived in The Ash area of the village since 2011 having lived in Bishops Stortford since 1989 with my wife and 3 boys. I grew up in Cambridge before moving to Bishop's Stortford to make my commute into the city easier where I have worked for 30 years as a stockbroker specialising in trading Investment Companies in a team of 14 some of who I have worked with for that entire time. In the limited free time I have I still try to play football with other "veterans" or suffer watching and following Arsenal football club a responsibility inherited from my father who was born in Highbury north London!

I joined Little Hadham Parish Council in the summer of 2015 as it seemed to me that the village was about to go through a period of significant change with the bypass and the prospect of an increase in housing development and I wanted to have an opportunity to represent residents views on these and other important issues that are faced by those who choose to live in a rural environment including things like the provision of rural broadband. My area of responsibility is Community which includes playgrounds, local events liaison, Post Office, War memorial, Allotments, Local Businesses, Housing needs, and Young Peoples' Needs.  I hope, alongside my fellow and very able councillors, we can shape the future of Little Hadham in a way that will make all villagers proud of where we live.
